Hi,
I have an American computer using windows XP. I recently bought a
japanese game to help me learn japanese as I play. I installed the
game sucessfully, but the letters are not displayed in "true"
japanese. What I mean by that is, there are a few letters that
actually are japanese combined with nonsensical characters. It
resemebles the type of characters that are displayed if you select a
japanese font other than the standard one used to view most web pages.
Is there anyway I can set my computer's default encoding to a
different setting in order to play this game? I was going to go into
Internet Explorer and do it, but that only affects viewing web pages
on the internet right? I'm looking for something to change inside of
my computer so to speak. What should I do?
thanks
jim
